Innovating personalized therapies for children with inflammatory bowel diseases to facilitate healing

The mission of the Precision Therapeutics for IBD Lab (the Colman Lab) is to develop comprehensive tools that break the therapeutic ceiling through disease modification resulting in healing.

Our vision is to better understand how to use medications for IBD more safely and effectively through personalized medication approaches.

Through a multidisciplinary team science approach, we specialize in fusing clinical pharmacology (precision dosing), molecular biomarkers (such as microbiome, metabolomics) and noninvasive monitoring (point-of-care intestinal ultrasound) methods to improve outcomes for children with IBD.
